In Search of a cold Yuengling and a few Tasty Kakes
Today is sort of a sad day for the Commissioner. A few hours ago, Mrs. Commissioner and the little deputy commissioners headed to grandma's house for 10 days.
Yes, the Commissioner is home alone, no wife, no kids for 10 days. Normally, that would be woohoo! However, I actually have tons of work to do over the next 10 days, and I actually like my wife and the little deputy commissioners, alot, so I'm kind of sad, but I'm trying to overcome.
If you are a devoted fan of the Commish, a new fan, or found this site by accident, and read it, you would know I'm from Pennsylvania. I do not go back very often, but there are a few Pennsylvania things, I like ALOT. Two of those things are Yuengling beer and TastyKakes. Yeungling beer is quite possibly the nectar of the gods. Tastykakes are little slices of heaven packaged in the form of an icing filled cupcake. Neither are available in New Orleans.
However, the Commissioner has the WORLD'S GREATEST BROTHER. The Commissioner had a birthday a few weeks ago, and one day, I came home, and there was a large box by the door. It was a package from the WORLD'S GREATEST BROTHER in Pennsylvania, and it contained my favorite things. I kid you not, I did a happy dance around the kitchen for 10 minutes.
So, here I am, no wife, no kids, drinking an ice cold Yuengling and eating TastyKakes for dinner. I have hit the bachelor trifecta! I am overcoming by God!
I received an email today wondering why there are no pictures of the Commissioner on the web site. The email mused whether it was a ploy to add mystery and intrigue to the Commissioner. Frankly, I'm really not that mysterious or intriguing. My wife would tell anyone who will listen, I'm pretty full of crap. That being said, there are not now, and most likely will never be pictures of the Commissioner on the website. The reason is quite simple. I'm just not that good-looking. I'm blessed with a sparkling wit, and a full-head of radiant hair, but I'm not that cute. Seriously, I'm drinking beer and eating Tastykakes for dinner. What else did you expect?
